Prasar Bharati, DD News, Regional Nervs Unit, Chennai invites applications frorn
experienced and dynamic persons for engagernent in following contractual categories in
Eight Districts of Tamil Nadu fbr Regional News Unit, DD Nervs Chennai, on full tirne
annual contract basis. Those candiclates rvho have apnlied to the earlier notification for 8
MMJs dated 11.01.2022 :rnd h:rvc appcared for the rvritten test. helcl on 28.01 .2022 in
Chennai, need not aprrly again.

2. No of positions: Total 10, listed in (l) above
3. Place of work: As listed in (l) above. The MMJs will work fbr both NSD:AIR
chennai and DD News Chennai and report to both the RNU Heads.
4. Duration of engagement: Two years
5. Consolidated remuneration: Rs 30,000/- (consolidated) per month
6. Eligibility Criteria:
i. pG Oiploma/ Degree in Journalism and Mass Communication or equivalent from
a recognized university/institute, AND
ii. 3 yeari’ experience in journalisrn pref’erably in Audio-Visual Medium
iii. Proficiency in Tamil and English’
OR
Bachelor’s Degree from a recognized University/lnstitute; AND
5 years’ experience in journalism prefbrably in Audio-visuar Medium
il1, Proficiency in Tamiland English.
7. Age Limit: Upper age lirnit 35 years
8 Terms and Conditions of Engagement:
i. Services willbe purely on contractual basis. The persons engaged shall have no
claim either implicit or explicit, for his/her absorption/regularization in prasar
Bharati.
ii. The person will be engaged on full time basis and will not be allowed to take up
any other assignment during the period of engagement.
iii. Persons engaged on contract basis can be assigned additional tasks apart from the
specific tasks fbr which they are engaged by both AIR and DD Newi chennai.
iv. Period of engagement shall initially be fbrtwo years with an annual appraisal
which may be extendable based on the requirement of the organization or
performance revierv.
v. The engagement can be discontinued / tenninated rvith one month notice or one
month contractual fees in lieu thereof by either side witlrout assigning any reason.
vi. No claim of pensionary benefit on accoLrnt of this contractual engagemeni shall
be admissible.
vii. Prasar Bharati reserves the right to conduct test /interview of the shortlisted
candidates. No TA/DA shall be paid for attending the test/interview.
9. Those candidates who are eligible and rvilling to work on above terms and conditions
in Prasar Bharati, having requisite quali fication and experience. indicated above, may
