Company DescriptionHeadquartered in Reno, Nevada, Ormat is a leading geothermal company and the only vertically integrated company solely engaged in geothermal and recovered energy generation (REG), with the objective of becoming a leading global provider of renewable energy.Job DescriptionPerform clerical and administrative duties in compliance with applicable federal, state and local regulations and permit requirements.QualificationsNote: New employees will be required to provide proof of COVID-19 vaccination, subject to potential reasonable accommodation due to medical issues or sincerely held religious beliefs.
Perform routine clerical duties, processing, receiving, business mail and distributing to appropriate individuals
Perform on site human resources duties and provide support to regional office human resources
Must maintain current knowledge and understanding of applicable company policies and programs
Maintain records of plant files, personnel files, safety files and updating of safety training records on a timely basis
Administer accounts payable records and purchase order system. Provide inventory and cost control, track materials and maintain inventory levels
Maintain and administer the plant petty cash fund and snack shop
Purchase and maintain needed administrative, cleaning and record keeping supplies
The ability to review budgets and determine cost overruns
Perform other duties and administrative tasks as assigned by Plant Manager
Must be able to operate a vehicle in a safe manner
Must be able to work overtime as required
OTHER RESPONSIBILITIES
This position requires initial and annual Clearance Procedure, Hazardous Communications and Emergency Action Plan Training
EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, AND SKILLS REQUIRED
Professional training and/or college courses in related fields. A minimum of four years’ experience administrative or clerical duties
Demonstrated supervisory skills
Ability to work quickly to meet all deadlines through organization and follow–up
Must have the ability to read, write and speak English at a level that will permit the employee to understand and communicate information in a manner that will enable the employee to safely and efficiently perform the job duties
Must be able to use and acquire knowledge of a variety of computer software applications in word processing, spreadsheets, database and presentation. Must be proficient in MS Word, Excel, Power Point and use of the Internet
Must possess at any time a valid driver’s license with a driving record acceptable to ORMAT’s auto insurance carrier
Must be able to operate a vehicle
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
The ability to work at a computer and computer monitor and use repetitive motion for long periods of time
Must be able to lift a minimum of 30 pounds from the floor to the waist
