Position : Background Screening Investigator
Job Description : JOB DESCRIPTION OVERVIEW
Duties:
Understand our services (Employment Background Checks)
Effectively process and complete background screening orders
Be able to effectively explain and process ALL searches we provide to our clients.
Familiarize yourself with vendors and passwords in order to make online information requests.
Identify which forms to use for the out-of-state:
Driving history requests
Employment verifications
Education verifications * Familiarize yourself with ECO server case file set-up, as well as, ECO client folders.
Provide excellent customer service at all times.
Explain the Pre-Adverse and Adverse Action process to all new clients, providing them with the sample letters
Independently process all background requests via our online platform (i.e. Verifications, criminal records, sex offender search. Etc.).
Follow-up on backgrounds in process, constantly keep a pulse on the “new” and “pending” backgrounds in the online platform.
Locate either a LabCorp or Quest Lab (not third party preferred/not cost effective for us). Send location of lab and chain of custody form to our client’s or their applicant, when necessary.
Drug testing-Always keep our client updated with pending drug tests that haven’t been taken.
Suggest revisions to the forms we use. Your opinion is important.
Other Duties
Help answer incoming lines using proper phone etiquette.
Trained on basic computer software (MS Office, Outlook, etc).
Navigate and conduct basic research on the internet.
Effectively manage their time and prioritize work based on need.
Pay close attention to detail when processing each order
Respond to emails in a timely manner.
Be able to set up a client and product in our platform once the completed agreement is received.
Periodically audit client’s files, for both billing information, service agreements and contact information.
Contact existing clients for updated contact information, users, service agreement, and posters.
Attend PBSA webinars to learn about compliance regulations.
Obtain your PBSA FCRA basic certification in your first year of employment
Work Hours
Monday through Friday (between 8:00 am – 5:00 pm)
Saturday, Sunday and company recognized holidays off (unless workload dictates otherwise)
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $15.00 – $17.00 per hour
