Position Title: Event Services Manager
Reports To: Chief Operating Officer
Position Summary: FruitCraft is a unique urban fermentery & distillery with a primary focus on weddings and private events. FruitCraft has held over 200 weddings of up to 150 guests.
A qualified candidate would work with a small day to day team and be a self-starter, possess excellent customer service skills, be responsible for managing event staff, coordinating event food and beverage logistics, have a level of professionalism and willingness to be a team player.
The Event Services Manager should be comfortable establishing and cultivating relationships with existing clientele. Must be self-managed, motivated, and show a passion for their work. They would be responsible for maintaining cleanliness of the venue, managing and scheduling event staff, and being the point of contact for FruitCraft.
Under the direction of the Chief Operating Officer the Event Services Manager will consistently execute the event standards of FruitCraft. The Event Services Manager is expected to follow all FruitCraft policies, prioritize the company during working hours while being a positive and supportive team member.
Essential Functions and Responsibilities
Manage FruitCraft private events and member events.
Enforce policies, delegate tasks, and maintain workflow for beverage and catering staff.
Create & maintain schedules of beverage and catering employees.
Manage the entirety of all events from set up to break down.
Manage hiring and retention of staff, keeping turnover to a minimum.
Perform trainings for Front of House staff.
Facilitate breaks, lunches and send employees home when necessary.
Ensure all FruitCraft protocols are followed during the duration of the event.
Maintain cleanliness and presentation of the venue.
Take monthly, weekly, and daily inventory for the bar and venue; reorder when necessary.
Complete supervisor overrides and manage customer service related complaints.
Edit and print menus on Adobe Illustrator, update POS, and staff on available products.
Ensure regular scheduled maintenance of bar and kitchen equipment.
Order venue, catering and bar items when necessary, receive deliveries.
Distribute tips and enter payroll hours.
Obtain customer reviews on Yelp, Google, The Knot, and WeddingWire.
Submit event requests for new event leads.
Conduct venue tours, open houses, and site walk throughs.
Charge clients for day of event add ons.
Coordinate food and beverage service with event customers via in person meetings, emails and phone calls as the point of contact for FruitCraft.
Creating venue usage timeline, layout, and manage FruitCraft trusted vendors.
Efficiently transfer event knowledge to beverage and catering staff within format and guidelines by creating day of event, catering and beverage prep sheets.
Maintain and promote a positive and professional atmosphere for staff, clients and customers.
Acquire expertise in FruitCraft history, fermentation process, fermentation styles and product ingredients.
Stand and move during the length of the event; bend and kneel; carry 40 or more pounds; move tables and chairs from one part of the venue to another during set up and breakdown of event.
Adhere to and enforce all applicable local, state and federal laws, rules and regulations, including the most current COVID-19/Coronavirus regulations.
Core Competencies and Requirements
Must have open availability and be able to work nights, weekends and holidays.
Desire to work in a fast-paced, growing company.
Strong customer service skills required.
At least 2 years of people management and task delegation experience required.
At least 2 years of event or Event Services industry experience required.
Thorough attention to detail and desire to take initiative.
L.E.A.D and SafeServ certification required within the first month of employment.
Communicate regularly, tactfully and professionally.
Self-Starter, ability to take a project from inception to completion independently.
Strong interpersonal oral and written/typed skills.
Ability to adapt to changing demands.
Adhere to company policies and procedures.
Proactive in all functions of the role.
Team player who is able to positively interact with all levels within the organization.
Ability to balance multiple responsibilities.
Flexibility with day to day tasks.
Ability to make decisions for the better good of FruitCraft.
Passionate about wine, cider, mead and cocktails with ability to taste, describe and evaluate qualities and characteristics to staff and customers is a plus.
Knowledge of FruitCraft products and history is desired.

Compensation
$62,400 – $70,000 per year.
50-55 hours a week. Full time.
*Typical Schedule: Tuesdays 9pm-5pm, Thursdays 9pm-5pm, Fridays
10:30am-10:30pm, Saturdays 10:30am-10:30pm, Sundays 10:30am-10:30pm*could vary depending on events*

10 accrued vacation days per year.
