Job Description : As a Field Technician for Capmatic America, you are a front-line representative of the company. It is critical you are able to communicate precise information with customers and co-workers, as well as providing excellent customer service.
The ideal candidate will have a professional track record in machine assembly, troubleshooting and installation in packaging equipment and assembly lines. Relevant experience in the packaging industry is desired.
The Field Technician will handle the packaging equipment installations built by our company for our customers. The Field Technician will also have to make service calls for repairs and maintenance of customer’s equipment. The position requires adequate mastery of fine mechanics and the operation of automated systems (HMI and PLC). You will participate in the assembly and testing and most importantly, be responsible for Factory Acceptance tests (FAT) with the client.
Traveling to a client’s facility, you will perform Start up and Commissioning of a new machine and/or a full line of machinery. You will also be responsible for Site Acceptance tests (SAT) and provide training on the functions of the equipment to the customer’s employee operators on site.
Job requirements:
· Fluent in English, both spoken and written
Willingness to travel out of state and beyond
· Relevant experience in the packaging industry
· Accustomed to maintaining a high level of quality and accuracy
· Efficient and productive with little to no supervision
· Capable of planning and organizing work in order to meet critical deadlines
· Adheres to all Safety standards and regulations
· Respectful of customers’ facility procedures and policies
· Flexibility and problem solving on challenging set ups and repairs
Job Skills:
· Minimum of 3 years experience in assembly and/ or repair of industrial equipment
· Mastery of reading mechanical plans, schematics & blueprints
· Skilled in electro-mechanics and pneumatic installations and repairs
· Mechanical/Electrical Certification, highly desired
