General Operations Manager
Exciting opportunity for a General Operations Manager with a well-established, industry leader in Environmental Services.
In this role you will oversee the day-to-day operations of the Residential, Commercial, and/or Roll-Off lines of business in Southern California, providing multi-departmental leadership and operational management to establish and achieve performance & productivity metrics, as well as drive cost management processes.
Successful candidates will have a history of demonstrated success in the transportation and/or logistics industry, experience managing & coaching drivers, good computer skills, and a solid understanding of the waste industry (preferred).

Position Responsibilities:
Manage the day-to-day operations, maintain performance standards to consistently achieve productivity metrics.
Monitor budget and operating metrics while optimizing processes, procedures, and performance.
Ensure that all facilities are in compliance with all Federal, State, OSHA, DOT and Local regulations and requirements.
Oversee personnel needs of the locations including selecting, coaching, disciplining, and training employees and evaluating their performance. Provides input into termination, compensation, and promotion decisions.
Participate in regular P&L reviews to ensure that budgets are met; develop and implement programs for achieving optimal equipment utilization, equipment preservation, and conservative labor and material costs.
Candidate Qualifications:
Bachelors Degree required (Business preferred) or equivalent experience.
Masters in Business Administration (MBA) highly preferred.
Waste / Recycling or Transportation Industry experience.
10 – 15 year’s experience managing 500+ employees at a Director level.
Experience managing a large (300+ trucks) transportation or logistics operation.
In depth knowledge of DOT, OSHA, and other related state and federal regulations.
