Position : HR Onboarding & Employee Communications Specialist
Job Description : Volt has partnered with a leading automotive manufacturer in Fountain Valley to help identify a Talent Development, Onboarding and Employee Communications Coordinator for immediate hire. The Talent Development, Onboarding & Employee Communications coordinator is responsible for supporting and driving Company’s onboarding tasks before and after candidate acceptance. The key purpose of this position is to ensure a smooth and efficient onboarding process for all newly hired employees. This role is a part of the Talent Development and Employee Communication team and has ownership of coordination of all required pre-employment tasks including background/drug clearances and creating and supporting regular communications going out to the business. Key Responsibilities:
Serves as a positive and professional representative for Company – speaking to the organization’s mission, vision, and culture with clarity, passion, and accuracy.
Operate as the liaison between Talent Acquisition, and Talent Development Team to ensure a smooth transition from candidate to employee.
Gather and process appropriate onboarding documentation including New Hire Paperwork & personnel files
Works with the background and drug screen vendor and proactively report any discrepancies, delays, or flags in the process.
Assist with the planning of new hire orientation as well as cultural immersion programs, welcoming new employees
Create and produce regular employee communications to be broadcast to the organization through email, employee portal, lobby, and elevator monitor as needed
Support external employer branding strategy
Other duties as assigned
Requirements:
At least 1 year of experience in HR, preferably in onboarding, Employee Relations, or TA
Customer service experience required
Knowledge of employment law requirements for HR files
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite – Word, Excel, Powerpoint, Outlook
Experience with SAP, ATS, HRIS, and onboarding systems a plus
Proficiency in Microsoft 365 a plus
Proficiency in Adobe Suite (Photoshop) a plus
Bachelors degree in Human Resources or Communications (or related field) required
Pay Rate: based on experience Length: 6 – 12 months, possibly longer Position is remote for now but some onsite work may be required in late 2022 or 2023 when the building re-opens.
