Position : Medical Receptionist
Job Description : We are a busy 3 doctor optometry practice. We place a very high value on customer service and quality patient care. Knowledge of vision and medical insurance is desired but not necessary. Duties include, but are not limited to:
answering telephones
taking telephone messages for doctors and other employees
greeting patients
managing patient flow
dispensing contact lenses
following HIPAA guidelines
light preliminary testing of patients
insurance billing
patient billing
collecting payments and copayments
managing office supply inventory
checking glasses and contact lenses orders for accuracy
notifying patients that their glasses and/or contact lenses have arrived
making appointments
confirming appointments
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $19.00 – $26.00 per hour

High school or equivalent (Preferred)
Experience:
Customer service: 1 year (Preferred)
Medical terminology: 1 year (Preferred)
Computer skills: 1 year (Preferred)
