Basic Function
The individual will package a variety of medical devices, ranging from small cameras to larger sized consoles. They will utilize the software Oracle to transact products into our safety stock for all customer orders.
Responsibilities
The individual is responsible for working within the designated assigned hours for the week. They will ensure a timeliness arrival and departure, to include any overtime that is authorized. They are responsible for maintaining a clean work environment and adherence to all company guidelines. At the end of each day, they must be ready to forecast what packaging material they will need to order for the following day based on what is projected to ship. Outside of the day to day operations, there are several process improvement opportunities that will challenge the individual to make their area and the areas around them better and more efficient, ultimately reducing waste by becoming more Lean in our processes. This will require constant communication with various team members, the team lead and the supervisor. The individual must be able to work with little guidance, operating under the weekly goals set by the team lead and supervisor.
Must be able to cover different stations as part of the candidate’s career development, by learning and flexing as part of their daily routine. Overall, the individual should come ready to work with a positive attitude and always maintain a sense of professionalism.
Physical requirements
Be able to bend, pick up and lift up to 40 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 30 pounds of force frequently, and/or a minimal amount of force constantly to move objects.
Mental requirements
Ability to manage and overcome stressful situations. Be able to identify their own steady pace for maintaining a healthy state of mind while at work.
skills/Experience required
Reading, writing and communication skills are essential to success. Computer skills are required as they will operate the software Oracle and Microsoft Office software on a daily basis. Must have a great sense of attention to detail. Effective interpersonal and communication skills.
education/training required
High school diploma/ GRE required.
