What You’ll Be Doing:
Process and input prescriptions in our pharmacy software
Work with insurance companies on prescription claims and/or issues
Interact with patient inquiries on prescription claims, status of order, shipping location
Maintaining a positive, empathetic and professional attitude toward customers at all times
Process large volume of data entry, ensuring accuracy to eliminate dispensing mistakes
Maintains current knowledge of insurance claim regulations and processes, rejections
Responsible for research, follow up, troubleshooting, as pertaining to prescription/patient data entry discrepancies, insurance rejections
Proactively finding solutions when challenges arise that address patients’ needs and that take into account pharmacy operational demands
Work collaboratively with other team members to ensure smooth workflow in all departments, ability to work in other teams such as warehouse to provide support
What We’re Looking For:
Communicate effectively with coworkers, patients, and customers is important
Possess phone etiquette skills in order to provide excellent customer service
Knowledge in pharmacy software, insurance billing is a plus
Ability to work flexible hours based on business needs, weekends included
Be extremely detail-oriented, accuracy is essential
Must be able to work effectively under the direction of licensed pharmacists in a high volume pharmacy
Ability to take on tasks and deliver results 100% of the time with minimal supervision
