Job Description : This well-established hospital is moving quickly to find a Director of Quality and Safety to join their remarkable team. This leader will use their previous healthcare experience to ensure safe and optimal care is delivered to patients every day at this acute care facility.
As the Director of Quality and Safety, you will be joining a thriving community hospital that has been providing services to patients for over 80 years. The hospital maintains a wide variety of both inpatient and outpatient services for patients. These include general surgery, cancer care, physical therapy, women’s care, and much more. As a result of the hospital’s dedicated staff, the hospital has been awarded The Joint Commission’s Gold Seal of Approval.
The Director of Quality and Safety will report to the VP of Quality. The Director will work closely with other department leaders and C-suite executives in order to remain up to date with each department and assess any risks. The Director will be supported by both a Quality and Risk Manager and an Infection prevention Manager who will assist in performing analysis and reporting data.
The Director of Quality and Safety will have the opportunity to direct patient safety, performance improvement, and risk management by coordinating activities related to clinical performance. As Director, this person will also be able to serve as an educator and internal consultant to all hospital leadership and staff for analytical techniques, statistical applications, and performance improvement tools. This person must also ensure activities related to the National Committee for Quality Assurance (NCQA) Accreditation and Healthcare Effectiveness Data and Information Set (HEDIS) are completed.
