Job Description : Position Open: Remote Operations Assistant
Responsible to: Director of Operations
Compensation: Hourly, Commensurate to Skills and Experience
Hours: 40 hours per week, Monday through Friday or Sunday through Thursday, 8am to 5pm. Position includes some on-call hours during evenings and weekends. Up to 6 days per month of travel is expected.

Maas Energy Works is the leading developer and operator of on-farm, waste-to-energy systems on the west coast. The Company designs, develops, constructs, and operates biogas-powered renewable energy generation systems on dairy farms.
Position Description As a Remote Operations Assistant, your role will be to support the ongoing operations of renewable energy facilities throughout California and the western United States. Job tasks will include remote monitoring of electrical generation equipment and biogas pipelines, ordering parts and materials, and communicating with on-site technicians. The position includes daily troubleshooting of equipment as issues arise in the field which will require good communication skills and the ability to problem-solve.
Our operations team is split into office staff (this position) and field staff that work on the job sites. Office staff’s close coordination with company field staff ensures high quality outcomes for operations and good relationships with partners, and overall accountability.
Job Tasks Will Include:

Remotely monitor and troubleshoot issues at the renewable energy facilities
Coordinate with on-site technicians to ensure proper operation and maintenance of equipment
Parts and materials ordering
Potential travel to renewable energy facilities to troubleshoot on-site issues and perform compliance tests

Qualifications:

Highly motivated and enjoy learning
Detail-oriented and organized, must possess strong critical thinking capabilities.
Must be proficient in English, additional proficiency in Spanish helpful but not required.
This position requires extensive communication via email, text, and phone.
Proficient in MS Office and be able to learn customized applications such as QuickBase, Teamviewer, Intelimonitor, and various SCADA equipment.
A general understanding of internal combustion engines is preferred
