Position Description:
Founded in 2001, the Williams Institute at UCLA School of Law is dedicated to conducting rigorous, independent research on sexual orientation and gender identity law and public policy. The Institute disseminates its research to policymakers, judges, the media, and other stakeholders to ensure that decisions impacting the lives of millions of LGBT people and families are based on data and facts.
The Williams Institute produces rigorous and independent research with real-world relevance and disseminates it to judges, legislators, policymakers, media, and the public. The Williams Institute is in search of a Research Data Analyst who will support the production of empirical research that is vital to advancing the work of the Institute. The Research Data Analyst will assist in administering social science, public health, and public policy research related to the mission of the Institute in close collaboration with Williams Institute Scholars. Primary responsibilities include managing project timelines, research materials, and data, developing research protocols, study materials, preparation of human subjects applications, data collection and analysis, and preparing written products (literature reviews, reports, manuscripts, grant proposals, fact sheets, graphics, presentations, and so forth.) Participation in Institute meetings, seminars, educational events, and other meetings, as determined by the research supervisor, is required.
