Job Description : For our location in Newark, CA we are seeking Vehicle Test Drivers
Pay rate
1st Shift: $20/hour (after 4 weeks of training it goes up to $21.50)
3rd Shift: $20/hour (after 4 weeks of training it goes up to $21.50)
Schedule
1st Shift: 12:00 AM – 8:00 AM
3rd Shift: 4:00 PM – 12:00 AM
Duties and Responsibilities:
The Formel D EV test Driver is responsible for driving, testing, and evaluating new and prototype vehicles on pre-defined routes on primary and secondary roads in various weather conditions.
Qualifications:
Thorough knowledge of local vehicle and traffic laws
Candidate will be operating EV vehicles under endurance run conditions on public roads
Ability to drive vehicles with automatic transmissions
Ability to sit and drive for up to 10 hours per shift (when needed) with regular breaks
Able to operate test vehicles as equipped for typical, consumer drivers
Examine latest vehicle technology for market readiness
Investigates under quality assurance aspects in functionality, look, feel, and drivability
Ability to drive safely in daylight, darkness and in poor weather and road conditions
Complete all testing, assignments during designated test drive
Arrive to all scheduled shifts on time and attend all driver and station meetings
Able to work within a team (passenger partner) and on your own
Maintain all security measures regarding vehicles while on route, communicate any concerns regarding security to Driver supervisor immediately
Job may require employee to move heavy objects and be exposed to hazardous work environments
Qualifications/Requirements are as follows:
Ability to work with and operate the latest communication deceives (EX: phones, computers, display based operations
Enthusiasm for operating next level mobility technology integrated in luxury vehicles
Strong attention to details for functionality of product quality and software applications
Strong Interpersonal Skills, Ability to communicate both verbal and written
Ability to pass criminal background check, DMV history report, and pre-employment drug screening
A minimum of 3-years driving experience needed
As a condition of employment, candidates will need to provide proof of vaccination from Covid 19.
