Job Description : Vehicle Test Operator
Tesla is looking for a highly motivated drivers to support vehicle testing performed in local regions of the U.S. The primary objective of this role is to safely operate prototype vehicles on public roads while documenting customer facing issues. The successful candidate for this position must have a clean driving record, a general understanding of automotive technology, and the flexibility to work in a dynamic & fast paced work environment.
Responsibilities
Operate test vehicles on real-world public routes during various climate conditions (snow, rain, extreme temps). Support supervisor developing new drive routes to target specific weather conditions
Proactively raise all customer facing issues to stakeholders. Document & communicate issues using various methods (JIRA, MS Outlook, MS Teams, etc..)
Perform basic pre & post drive vehicle safety check (fluids, tire pressure, tire tread condition, etc.)
Support other adhoc vehicle engineering requests including, but not limited to, logistics, supporting technicians, etc..
Requirements
Ability to safely operate vehicles 6+ hours a day while still maintaining attention to detail
Clear and concise verbal and digital communication
Experience with MS office tools (Outlook/Excel/Word) and basic Adobe products
Work in a fast-paced environment to achieve common challenging goals with positive attitude
Must have valid driver’s license and clean driving record
Candidates must have the ability and willingness to travel approximately 50% throughout North America.
