Job Description : Position Description: The fundamental reason this classification exists is to perform a variety of routine, skilled and semi-skilled maintenance work and operate a variety of equipment in the construction, operation, inspection, repair, maintenance, and replacement of water distribution facilities and systems. Operate, maintain and adjust equipment in compliance with established standards. Perform maintenance of equipment, facilities, and grounds. Ensure a high level of cleanliness of assigned areas and associated buildings/facilities and grounds, and that pumps, valves, and other equipment receive timely lubrication. Perform daily monitoring of water works facilities through the operation of the Water Division’s central computer system called Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition (SCADA).
