The Oregon State Police in Salem is hiring for one (1) Full-Time, Permanent Office Specialist 2 position

What will you do?
Central Records Section (CRS) serves operations and programs throughout the department by providing centralized records and data management from internal use, for use by department partners and customers, and for access by the general public in appropriate circumstances. This position uses the Niche RMS system to analyze law enforcement data gathered by Oregon State Police officers to perform crime reporting mandated by both state and federal law. The incumbent in this position uses independent judgement to review each incident on a case-by-case basis to determine how the crime data elements should be reported in accordance with the Oregon National Incident Based Reporting System (ONIBRS) and Department statistical codes. This position performs data quality management in the Niche RMS by reviewing data for accuracy, formatting and other errors, and uses independent judgement to determine appropriate corrective action.

Minimum Qualifications (these must be addressed in your resume for full consideration) :
Two years of general clerical experience, one year of which included typing, word processing, or other experience generating documents; OR
An Associate’s degree; OR
Graduation from a private school of business with a certificate AND one year of general clerical experience.
Note: If you are selected to move forward in the process, you must provide official transcripts from all institutions of higher education that were used in meeting the above-mentioned minimum qualifications for the Office Specialist 2.

The salary listed is the non-PERS (Public Employee Retirement System) qualifying salary range. If the successful candidate is PERS qualifying, the salary range will reflect an additional 6.95%. Please review the Classification and Compensation page for more details.
