Job Description : Organization Overview Our Children Oregon’s mission is to be a voice and a force for the common good of all Oregon children, ensuring all children have the resources and opportunities needed to reach their full potential. Our Children Oregon focuses on child abuse prevention, improving child well-being through legislative and policy solutions, and on research and data that elevates the needs of children and youth in Oregon. Our Children Oregon centers the needs of BIPOC communities as our path toward moving the needle on our most persistent and pervasive societal concerns. Our role is to lift these voices to better direct vital state resources to improve outcomes across the state for all our children and their families.Position Description Our Children Oregon is looking for a passionate individual to help us take our next steps in building a culture of philanthropy. The position is responsible for planning, implementing and managing a comprehensive individual giving program and fundraising administration. Our Individual Giving Manager will work to build and implement a statewide individual giving program in collaboration with the Executive Leadership Team and program staff. This position is a key member of the Development Team and reports to the Executive Director. The Individual Giving Manager is responsible for implementing new organizational systems to support fundraising strategies.Essential Duties and ResponsibilitiesDevelop and implement a comprehensive statewide giving program that expands on current annual giving program.Responsible for the identification, cultivation, solicitation and stewardship of individual prospects and donors.Manage the end-of-the-year direct mail appeal and develop additional appeals and campaigns to meet annual revenue goals.Manage the donor acknowledgement and stewardship planWork with the Director of Communications to help create consistency in donor messaging across all fundraising campaigns.Implementation of smaller stewardship events and board fundraising events for current and prospective individual donors.Collaborate with communications staff on the design and implementation of monthly giving program, major gifts program and digital fundraising campaigns such as #givingtuesday and Tax Check Off.Maintain donor records in the EveryAction database and track Executive Director’s outreach.Attend community events and activities as requested as a way to promote the Our Children Oregon mission, vision, and core values.Work with staff to identify advocacy opportunities for donor engagement.Work to engage Board and committee members in identifying and developing relationships with potential donors.Conduct yearly review and assessment of giving programs and donor cultivation efforts, making adjustments as necessary.Other administrative fundraising duties as needed.Qualifications and Job RequirementsPassion for racial equity and cultural responsiveness and elevating the needs of diverse communitiesAbility to communicate effectively and authentically among diverse audiences and stakeholdersExcellent written and verbal communication skillsKnowledge of and proficiency in Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Google Docs, and willingness to learn other programsCanva and Adobe suite a plusExcellent organizational, administration, and project management skillsAbility and willingness to work collaboratively and experience working in team environmentsFlexible, innovative, energetic, and excited to work as a member of a teamSelf-motivated and organizedCommitment to the mission and values of Our Children OregonPolicy or political knowledge a plusAsana and/or EveryAction knowledge a plusThis is a full-time, non-exempt position.Our Children Oregon is an equal opportunity employer that values workplace diversity and strives to be an inclusive organization.
