Job Description : Position: Construction Superintendent-Bridge ConstructionOregon based bridge construction contractor is currently seeking a qualified Construction Superintendent to join our team. Our Company works primarily with Government Agencies to construct highway bridges throughout the State of Oregon. Projects range in size from $500,000 to $30,000,000. The job is based in the mid-Willamette Valley and will require travel to project sites throughout Oregon and Washington.Job Description:The Superintendent is responsible for direct supervision of the construction crew, management of the work site, execution of the work activities and ensuring compliance with project specifications.Superintendent Responsibilities:Oversee the construction project from start to finish. Ensuring work is productively and safely executed.Coordinate daily with the project manager, subcontractors, suppliers, the agency, and inspectors.Tracking and appropriately coding employee time for daily activities.Ensure that the project construction activities progress according to the approved project schedule.Ensure work being performed in in accordance with project plans and specifications as well as work plans created by management.Communicate effectively with the Subcontractors responsible for completing various phases of the project.Coordinate daily with the project manager, subcontractors, suppliers, engineer, inspectors and owner s representative.Knowledge and Skills Required:A minimum 5 years of experience as a superintendent on heavy highway construction projects.Must have valid drivers license and pass pre-employment drug screen.Experience working with ODOT, County Governments and Municipalities.Excellent communications skills.Ability to lead crew members to maximize productivity on the site.Experience operating or working around various pieces of equipment; cranes, excavators, forklifts, etc.Capacity to motivate, lead and discipline as needed to maximize efficiencies.Effective time management and logical decision-making ability.Capacity to handle pressure.Strong focus on quality.Experience with mass concrete forming and pours.Experience with rigging, hoisting, and pile drivingWe are an EEO Employer offering a competitive salary and benefit package with wage depending on experience.
