Job Description : Job Description: Saga Design Build is seeking a full-time, talented, and highly organized Junior Carpenter and/or Construction Laborer, to contribute and support our residential construction operations in the Portland Metro Area.As a Junior Carpenter or Construction Laborer you will: Work collaboratively with the project’s Lead Carpenter and other carpentry team members.Learn industry best practices and methodologies for residential construction.Actively seek out new responsibilities and challenges.Advocate for an inclusive, supportive work culture through listening, learning and actions.Support the advancement of the project throughout all phases of the construction process, including:Misc. site workFoundation concrete work and stormwater drainageFraming/General carpentryHouse wrap and weatherproofing/sealingExterior door and window installExterior siding and trimHang interior doorsFinish carpentry and trimCasework installationTile workQualifications: 1-5 years of experience working on/supporting residential construction projects.Highly motivated, and eager to learn and take direction.Highly reliable.Ability to commute to job sites throughout the Portland Metro Area working Monday-Friday, 8am – 4pm.Benefits: PTO: 10 days/yearHoliday Pay: 8 days/yearPaid HealthcarePerformance Bonus ProgramApply With: ResumePortfolio (if available)About Saga Design Build: Saga Design Build, Inc is a residential Design/Build architecture and construction firm with operations serving the Portland Metra Area and entire Columbia River Gorge region.We pride ourselves on a team oriented, collaborative work environment that supports the career growth and equitable treatment of our team members.
