Reporting to the Director of Retail, the General Manager is responsible for overall management of the shop, team members, merchandise, and guest experience. He/she will also be responsible for maximizing sales and profitability by focusing on key business initiatives. If you’re passionate about high quality products, midwestern hospitality and building long lasting relationships then Pleasantrees would love to meet you!ResponsibilitiesFosters an inspiring environment of engagement and learning that empowers people to realize their full potential.Demonstrate and lead an outstanding guest experience and establish a sales-focused cultureAnalyze the business, propose, and implement action plans to improve results, generate sales for each product category creating new clients and reactivating former onesResponsible for all shop opening and closing proceduresDemonstrate sales leadership by playing an active role on the selling floor and leading by exampleEmbraces diversity and inclusiveness through our people, guests and brand.Adhere to and uphold loss prevention systems to reduce possible opportunities for loss and endangermentComplete all necessary administrative paperwork in a timely manner including creating staff work schedules and ensure appropriate shop coverageControl daily invoices petty cash and take necessary actions to effectively control costs and ensure efficient operation in shopResponsible for management and maintenance of shop inventoryReview and submit sales and operational reports to managementEnsure maintenance of cycle counts, inventory accuracy and shrink requirementsEnforce company policies while adhering to proper procedure regarding disciplinary actionProvides immediate “in the moment” feedback to all employees, through active floor presence and engagement.Ensure timely submission of all required business and compliance reports.Experience and Requirements3+ years of experience managing a fast-paced retail environmentMinimum of 21 years of ageHighschool diploma or its equivalentMust pass criminal background check and drug screening (excludes THC)Must be compliant with all legal or company regulations for working in the Cannabis industryAccountability for othersAbility to stand for long periodsAbility to lift 25 lbs.Knowledge of basic computer skillsJob Type: Full-timePay: $55,000.00 – $75,000.00 per yearBenefits:Dental insuranceEmployee discountHealth insuranceLife insurancePaid time offParental leaveVision insuranceSchedule:HolidaysMonday to FridayWeekend availabilityApplication Question(s):How many years of retail cannabis experience do you have?Education:High school or equivalent (Preferred)Experience:Retail management: 3 years (Preferred)Work Location: One location
