Job Description : Lone Rock Resources has an opening for a Timber Faller. Lone Rock is a family owned timber management
and logging company with a proud past and a bright future. Lone Rock’s cutting department provides
production felling for logging units and road construction projects within the company. We seek a career-
oriented timber faller who wants join an existing team of professionals.
JOB DESCRIPTION: This is a permanent, full-time, hourly position.
Lone Rock’s cutting department provides year-round production hand-falling on logging units and right-
of-way felling for our logging and road construction departments. The employee will be expected to safely
operate a chainsaw and other hand tools to directionally hand fall trees in a production setting.
WAGE: Competitive wage based on previous experience and skill level.
GENERAL JOB REQUIREMENTS:
2-years previous experience hand cutting in a production setting.
Valid and current driver’s license.
Physical requirements of the position include:
o hiking in a forest setting on steep terrain,
o working in all Pacific Northwest weather conditions,
o carrying a chainsaw and all necessary gear for 6-hours per day.
Experience identifying safety hazards associated with hand falling and properly mitigating them.
Ability to effectively communicate with crew members and other employees.
Skillfully and efficient fall trees to minimize breakage.
Demonstrate pride in the quality of work.
Proven safety record of hand-falling.
