The purpose of the Interview Coach is to use their expertise in recognizing top talent to strengthen Director of Sales interviewing skills. This role supports the goal of improved alignment and stronger results during the Market Area Manager hiring process.
Outcomes and Activities:
Facilitate training with Directors of Sales to set clear expectations on interview requirements
Assess the degree to which hiring managers meet the necessary interview requirements of pre-interview planning, use of tools, candidate experience, questioning, listening, and objective evaluation of facts through interview evaluation
Provide direct written and verbal feedback to Director of Sales based on observed behaviors and skills during interviews
Facilitate coaching sessions with Directors of Sales and Regional Vice Presidents
Track progress and provide feedback for performance management purposes
Provide reporting and updates to Talent Acquisition and Sales leadership
Support process improvement initiatives
Facilitate and participate in training sessions and performance meetings related to Right People
Research and develop innovative strategies to identify the most qualified talent
Act as a trusted advisor to the Talent Acquisition and Sales leadership teams while supporting Sales hiring
Build and maintain strong working relationships with recruiters and hiring managers and interface with all levels of management to meet business needs
Knowledge and Skills:
Have strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to communicate effectively at all levels including senior leadership
Have a strong understanding of sales competencies and sales interview requirements including pre-interview planning, use of tools, candidate experience, questioning, listening, and objective evaluation of facts
Ability to objectively evaluate and document interview strengths and opportunities of Director level and above
Deliver direct feedback by utilizing documented data points to drive the conversation
Raise concerns through proper channels and engage appropriate resources and tools to provide feedback, make informed recommendations and solve problems
Effectively train, coach and influence Directors of Sales/sales leaders
Demonstrate initiative and manage multiple priorities well
Ability to be self-directed, assertive, and convey an approachable style
Requirements:
5+ years of experience with behavioral based sales interviewing and coaching sales leaders
Experience researching and providing recommendations for innovative improvements to hiring processes
Experience facilitating effective meetings with participants at all levels
Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, SharePoint
Knowledge of federal and state employment law
Preferred:
Bachelor’s Degree
Experience with Workday, HireVue, and LinkedIn
Targeted Compensation: $95,000.00 – $120,000.00 base salary + an annual bonus
