Providence Helath Plan is calling a Member Materials Coordinator to our location in Portland, OR. This position will be remote and may pivot to a hybrid model in 2022 working a combination of in office and remote. The role is open to the footprint of Providence in AK, WA, OR, CA, TX, and MT.
We are seeking a Member Materials Coordinator who will be responsible for managing the composition and content of member materials at the individual member material level across all lines of business. Responsible for coordinating and discerning stakeholder input across various subject matter experts throughout the health plan, including but not limited to regulatory and compliance, marketing, sales, communications and service operations. Materials vary by line of business and can include but are not limited to SBCs, benefit summary’s and ANOCs. Perform all duties with a minimum of direct supervision.
MAJOR CHALLENGES:
Challenging regulatory environment demands ability to affect mandated changes to appropriate materials on an immediate basis.
Gather and understand regulatory language and clinical concepts and be able to clearly and accurately explain the required information to an average member.
Completing a high volume of work requiring a high degree of attention to detail within short time frames in a timely, accurate and professional manner.
Establishing effective work priorities, demonstrating good judgment, flexibility and adaptability to changing needs and competing demands.
Interacting positively and professionally with a wide variety of internal and external customers.
Gaining and maintaining knowledge of the wide variety of product portfolios and benefits associated with Commercial, ASO, Medicare, Medicaid and Individual lines of business.
In this position you will:
Create and support management of member materials. Makes independent decisions regarding form, function, process, and content. Must self-educate on regulatory requirements and benefit definition, negotiate appropriate content among cross-functional stakeholders, and make best decision for the business and member experience that is within regulatory and compliance guidelines
Responsible for and oversees content creation, editing and management of data transfer to contracted vendors as applicable.
Documentation liaison to internal stakeholders (Regulatory, Healthcare Services, System Ops or Sales) vendor partners and other essential business areas.
Develops, maintains, and distributes documents and timelines to track objectives and deliverables
Qualifications:
Required Qualifications:
Bachelor’s Degree or 3 years of work experience
Proficient in documentation software and database management
Thorough knowledge of personal computer applications (e.g. Word, Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint)
Preferred Qualifications:
Health insurance experience
Technical writing or documentation creation experience
Proficient in documentation software and database management
Thorough knowledge of personal computer applications (e.g. Word, Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint)
Proven ability to work in website applications.
Strong, demonstrated, writing skills and ability to correctly explain complex insurance concepts and clinical information to a member in an easy to understand way.
Ensuring compliance with regulatory and accreditation guidelines.
General knowledge of insurance and health care.
Keen and consistent attention to detail and accuracy.
Ability to audit work to achieve no errors.
Ability to anticipate and think through content variation and scenarios to ensure correct programing for our document-generation platform (Product Forge) to produce desired end result for material(s).
Ability to translate a variety of information into required documents, defining versions, creating templates, maintaining material-specific documentation in materials tracking database, managing translations into alternative languages and formats and coordinating internal reviews, edits and approvals.
