This exciting role offers opportunity to:
Work on New product development and sustaining projects on Panelboards & Switchboards product line
Design and Develop Panelboards & Switchboards, meeting customer requirement, cost target and Market needs related technology
Coordinate with Global stakeholders and Drive project execution through Design, testing and implementation phase
Contribute to technical development of the product. Ensure product compliance to global design standards like UL,CSA IEC, NEMA or any other compliance standard
Modify existing products to support customer, manufacturing, applicable regulatory and industry standard, and market requirement through change Management process
The applicant must be self-motivated and possess good communication skills with cross functional team namely engineering, manufacturing, project management, marketing and supply chain
Qualifications
Requirement:
BE / M Tech Mechanical/Electrical Engineering
6-9 years of experience in the Product design
Experience in working on NPI/Sustaining projects for Electrical switchgears. Prefer to Panelboards & Switchboards
Strong knowledge of Mechanical component design with 6-9 Yrs. of relevant experience .
Excellent communication and presentation skills. Experience of interfacing with global teams and working in matrix organization.
Good understanding on systematic problem-solving methods and tools.
Person must be proficient with Autodesk Inventor , Experience in PLM tools (ENOVIA)
Project Engineering, processes, and tools, DFSS, Analytical Thinking,
Extensive knowledge of a wide variety of low voltage system application.
Responsible for designing Low voltage Panelboards & Switchboards in accordance with customer requirements and standards. Create and execute Engineering Change Requests and manage the product life through the ERP system (Enovia). Prepare and detailed mechanical and electrical drawings in auto CAD 2D and Inventor 3D. Generate the Bill of Materials (BOM). Controls the list of drawings and documents. Prepare and maintain product documentation, including data sheets, project timeline, designs, and test documentation.
Utilize PROLaunch (Six Sigma design) tollgate methodology to lead New product development and sustaining projects with cross functional teams at multiple sites with overall project timeline execution responsibilities.
Deploy and drive predictable execution leveraging Six sigma methodology for product development. Utilize DFSS methodology and tools such as PDSC, P-Diagram, DFMEA, Risk Management ,Statistical Tolerance Stack-up analysis & DVPR for new product development & existing product improvements
Perform project specification and customization (Mechanical and Electrical). Develop DfM&A and test plan documentation to execute Type Tests and Routing Test required for product improvements / development.
Performs project management role from design to implementation; communicates expectations, plans, and requirements and coordinates all work within the scope of assigned projects
Supports prototypes development and test the solutions to meet/exceed customer requirements and support product development till commercialization.
Maintain effective communications both verbal & written with customer, team members and cross functional departments
