KGSI* is seeking a Technical Data Analyst to join the fast pace and growing technical team.In this role the Technical Data Analysts will deliver analysis and provide insights that impact the entire company and, more importantly, our customers. This role requires a strong level of analytical horsepower and communication skills to effectively analyze and tell the story behind the data by uncovering insights that will help the company inform strategic decision making.
A Day in The Life Could Include:
(job responsibilities)Gather business requirements from stakeholders on analytics initiativesand enhance existing reports. Interpret needs and design reports to meet end user expectationsDevelop product analytics requirements documentation, process workflow diagrams, functional specifications for capturing key activities our users might take within our software, and other supporting documentation for analytics initiativesCollaborating with Products and Customer Success team members to analyze data and generate insights that enable decision making and accelerate time to insights.Design and develop complex data queries to move and transform data from operational data sources for analytical purposeLeverage data visualization tools (like PowerBI) to design & develop dashboards and other visualizations to provide business stakeholders access to your insights and informationCollaborate on Product Design initiatives involving Data Visualization & Data Insights featuresTest all new reports/deliverables and periodically review them for quality controlIdentify the process improvement areas through data points and work with product teams derive the changes.
What You Will Need to Bring with You:
(experience & education required)4-7 years of professional experience in data analysis, data management, report writing, and/or database design.Technical expertise regarding data modeling, database development, data mining and segmentation techniquesStrong working knowledge of databases and querying languagesExperience building data visualizations using tools like Power BI or similarAbility to analyze large data sets and collect insights in a fast-paced, agile environmentExperience with predictive analysis and statistical methodsDegree in Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics or similar field is required.Structured approach to Problem Identification and Solving.Experience building queries with AWS Athena(Good to Have)Previous experience with analytical programing languages (Python, R) and related data manipulation packages is a plus(Good to Have)
