As a key member of the Corporate Accounting function, this position is responsible for the management and integrity of the accounts payable.
Responsibilities: Provide leadership to the accounts payable function and manage the day-to-day operation Design and implement effective accounts payable policies, procedures and controls. Provide expertise on the processing, recording and reporting of accounts payable transactions Manage the accounts payable monthly close process (calendar, reviews, reconciliations, analysis, reporting) Process worldwide accounts payable transactions on a timely and accurate basis Manage TDS, GST, Filing of tax returns, and other statutory compliance requirements Design and implement accounts payable metrics, reports and reconciliation’s Prepare and assist in preparing various balance sheet and income statement account analysis Prepare income statement trends and variance to budget discussion and analysis Design and implement informative accounts payable reports to meet the needs of the business Develop financial systems solutions and requirements for new applications or enhancements Assist finance and the operating business units with accounts payable related matters Assist with the execution of quarterly reviews and year-end financial audits Drive to continuously improve the procure-to-pay process Ad-hoc projects as necessary Coach and develop the accounts payable staff
Qualifications: Degree in business, accounting or finance Minimum of seven years of experience in accounting related functions Technology, SaaS, or related industries experience preferred Accounts payable experience in a multi-national or publicly-traded company preferred Strong financial systems background (NetSuite, Concur a plus) Ability to mine, manipulate and analyze large quantities of data (Excel, Access, SQL) Strong analytical skills, accuracy and attention to detail a must Ability to effectively interact (verbally / writing) with senior and functional department managers Ability and willingness to meet business critical deadlines Strong time management and organizational skills
