Kimberly-Clark is on a mission to transform to be a data driven and AI-First company. We are looking for a strong Sr. Solutions Architect position in our Global Data Science and AI Delivery.

The position will report to the Global Head of AI and Decision Sciences

The Role

We are looking for a proven Solutions Architect with a strong customer-centric mindset, solid background in innovation, creating and delivering data engineering solutions, driving growth and collaborating across the company to accelerate incubation and delivery of new data engineering-based business capabilities across Kimberley-Clark’s businesses.

Your role will serve as the Subject Matter Expert on end-to-end Data science and AI solutions providing thought leadership on emerging topics and trends, while working with your team to establish and deliver AI roadmaps across multiple focus areas – such as sales, marketing, supply chain, finance and security through collaboration and success across the enterprise as we optimize productivity and efficiency and provide great customer experience.

The Sr. Solutions Architect is a transformative, collaborative and inspirational leader with deep expertise, a passion for coaching, leading and inspiring cross functional teams to solve business challenges, create solutions and deliver business value while working conjointly with the respective discipline leaders representing each line of business and functional areas across Kimberly-Clark.

Your responsibilities will include the following:

Transform requirements into architecture and blueprint diagrams for the solution being created. Conversion that is based on several factors: historically successful design patterns, reference architectures and enterprise architecture guidelines
Understand business functions and able to construct a solution architecture around APIs, and able to decompose monolith applications into meaningful implementable APIs in a DevOps environment
Provide technology perspective to business to help guide road mapping and prioritization by keeping abreast with industry trends. Help business size the complexity of problem and help simplify and define MVP
Provide technical leadership and guidance to the development team, throughout the entire SDLC/Agile process
Get Business, development team’s buy-in for the proposed design to be implemented
Ensure the solution architecture aligns with the roadmaps established by the enterprise architecture, and that it adheres to enterprise architecture principles
Act as a bridge between Enterprise / Application Architecture and Lead the delivery
Act as a consumer and contributor to enterprise architecture collateral. The patterns and guidance developed should be reusable in a broader enterprise architecture context
Document and manage multiple applications that are poised to work together, by defining the interaction between application packages, databases, and middleware systems in terms of functional coverage
Expected to do solutioning work for web app (Portal) layer during design phase
Ability to understand logical and physical data model concepts
To be part of the team of solution architects and domain experts to provide fit for purpose solutions
To execute on your roadmaps, you will work closely with multiple teams of highly talented, data wranglers, data engineers, data architects, data modelers and visualization engineers aimed at delivering projects reliably against projected roadmap timelines.
You will play a key role in determining the technical assets needed to evolve business needs, data engineering design practices, frameworks and other methodologies to be adopted and maintained to accelerate business value
Success in this role means being able to effectively move the needle of the company’s business “metrics through consistent execution of machine learning initiatives.
Qualifications and experience:

12+ years as a senior or principal Architect (or equivalent role) working on large-scale projects and architecture with hands-on experience with Cloud platforms and architecture
Bachelor’s, Master’s in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, MBA or related fields
Solid experience on security solutions, in terms of architecture design and implementation
Experience in driving solutions on Azure cloud, building data lakes, adopting cloud-native architecture, distributed computing architecture, and optimal data organization and semantic modeling for business needs
Experience and thorough understanding of data wrangling and data processing languages and tools such as Azure Data Factory, Azure Synapse, Snowflake, Azure Databricks, SQL, Python, Scala, and PySpark is required
Design and Develop Restful API/Webservices on cloud platform (Azure) for service and consumption
Knowledge on Snowflakes, Azure data factory, Data Lake, data bricks
DevOps and CICD knowledge e.g., Git, Jenkins, Docker, unit test- and Test-driven development
Ability to go deep technically on data architecture and solutions are best suited to specific business and customer problems, as well as elevate your thinking to consider business and strategic implications.
Ability to facilitate thoughtful and constructive conversations within and outside the team and an ability to communicate complex ideas effectively.
Strong analytical skills to effectively create recommendations, influence decision-making, assess impacts, compare solutions, problem solve, and achieve business and/or technical objectives.
Ability to learn quickly (technology, business models, target industries)

Proficiency to work closely and collaboratively with multiple departments and executives, and in cross-functional teams.
High accountability when it comes to meeting deadlines and ship dates, and ability to lead numerous projects simultaneously under time constraints.

Global VISA and Relocation Specifications:

K-C requires that an employee have authorization to work in the country in which the role is based. In the event an applicant does not have current work authorization, K-C will determine, in its sole discretion, whether to sponsor an individual for work authorization. However, based on immigration requirements, not all roles are suitable for sponsorship.

This role is available for local candidates already authorized to work in the role’s country only. K-C will not provide relocation support for this role.
