Position : Patient Support Technician – Anesthesiology

Job Description : The Patient Support Technician (PST) will report to the Operating Room Charge Nurse who will allocate duties throughout the Peri-operative department. This position maintains and sets up anesthesia equipment and supplies in compliance with manufacturer, state, federal and professional recommendations. The PST will transport patients according to department and hospital policies and procedures, using age/status appropriate methods. This employee safely transports blood, blood products, specimens and supplies. The PST will assist nursing personnel in management of the patient’s environment of care to maximize patient safety. Initiates room turn over and cleaning.

JOB REQUIREMENTS: This position requires a High School Diploma or GED. A minimum one (1) year experience in a health care environment required. BLS – Basic Life support required within 30 days of hire or transfer into position.
SHIFT DETAILS: Part-time, 56 hours per pay period. Evening shifts
LOCATION: Madera, CA
