We are currently looking for our next shining star to join our R&D team for one of our clients located in Mountainview, California. We are looking to hire a talented Lab Technician to join our team. Our team needs a full-time Lab Technician to operate under the supervision of our Lab Manager. The successful candidate will be responsible for configuring, assembly, diagnostic and debugging the system developed by our SWEs. He or she will also participate in the R&D aspects of the job. We’re looking for a professional with experience in data collection and interpretation.
Qualifications

High school diploma or associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in a technical field preferred.
2-3 years of experience working in an engineering lab.
Strong attention to detail, excellent organizational skills.
Ability to communicate effectively, write correspondence and reports.
Able to perform physically demanding work such as moving and lifting equipment, standing for long periods of time, etc.
Capable of prioritizing tasks to meet goals and ensure product quality.
Comfortable working with hand and power tools.

Responsibilities

Perform routine and non-routine tests and analyses using the appropriate technical equipment and instruments.
Supervise experiments.
Assist lab members in testing new robotic systems, software, or user interfaces.
Maintain equipment in proper working order and maintain a clean work area.
Practice safe work habits, including complying with all safety, health, and environmental rules and regulations.
Maintain appropriate inventory of laboratory supplies, tools, and other equipment.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Comfortable executing programs in a Linux command line.
Understand how to grab log files for filing bug reports.
Familiarity with Python programming is a plus but not required.
Collaborate with engineering staff on new equipment and workcell designs
Conduct experiments (hardware, software, system integration) in the lab
Conduct experiments as specified by Client relating to hardware, software, or system integration. Fully document all experiments and outcomes and escalate any deviations or problems to the Project Manager.
Assist in the setup, execution, teardown, and documentation around testing as required.

Salary $75,000-95,000
