This is for one (1) full time , limited duration Accounting Technician 3 position.
This position is expected to last through June 30, 2023; however, depending on funding it may be extended.
This position’s assigned location is Tigard, Oregon, however, the successful candidate is eligible for full-time remote work.
This recruitment will be used to establish a list of qualified applicants to fill the current vacancy and may be used to fill future vacancies as they occur.
This position is represented by the Service Employees International Union (SEIU).
We serve the people of Oregon by administering public employee benefit trusts to pay the right person, the right benefit, at the right time.
Accounting Collections/Accounts Receivable Technician
Collects overpaid benefits to maintain the Accounts Receivable subsidiary ledgers, responds to member invoice inquiries, assist senior accountants in resolving discrepancies, assist with annual reporting, cross train, and relieve other positions during peak periods.

What Are We Looking For?
Minimum Qualifications
three years of technical support accounting experience. Two years of the experience must include a) coding transactions and checking them for propriety, b) balancing, and c) resolving discrepancies in computer edits; OR at least 90 quarter (60 semester) credit hours from an accredited college, university, or vocational-technical school that includes 12 quarter (9 semester) hours in accounting.
Training or experience must include using a computer to enter, update, or retrieve information.
To receive credit for required courses, submit a photocopy of transcripts.
Candidates who are the most competitive will possess the following skills, background, and areas of experience:
Accounts receivable collections experience
Strong attention to detail
Excellent verbal and written communication with multiple stakeholders
Solution oriented and self-motivated
Ability to prioritize competing deadlines
Team player

The salary listed is the non-PERS qualifying salary range. If the successful candidate is PERS qualifying, the salary range will reflect the additional 6.95%.
